The next few days will be a great time to hit the slopes with a mixture of sun and cloud as well as light winds making for smooth conditions on a very healthy base of snow. The nights will be very cold though, however this will mean conditions will be great for snow making, helping maintain the fantastic cover.
A weak low pressure system or trough will cause some wet weather on Thursday, with snow during the morning likely to tend to rain during the afternoon, particularly about lower resorts. This will mean things could get a bit slushy at times, however Friday should yield the goods with a good top up of snow on the cards, with potentially heavier falls in higher resorts.
There is good news for the remainder of the fortnight too, with frequent fronts (one due Monday 28th and another around Thursday 31st) meaning a healthy base will be maintained into the start of August.
